There’s something about the Oregon Coast that gets me every time. The landscape is wild and dramatic in some places and simple in others. All the way from the southern Oregon coast in Brookings where you find epic rock faces and land bridges to the very northern cute town of Astoria.
It’s nearly impossible to choose a favorite but certainly Pacific City is up there. I’ve done a number of engagement sessions here and every one is special and different in its own way. Sunsets on the coast are always unique and this one was fire!! The colors that came out to show themselves at Cape Kiwanda were epic. Then to top it all off the moon was shining perfectly over the water at the end with a purple/pink sky.
Cape Kiwanda is the natural area just to the right (if you’re facing the ocean) of Pacific City. It’s easily a 5 minute walk from the main beach parking lot and the Headlands Lodge has an incredible view of it! You can climb up the steep sand dunes for some incredible views and unique landscapes. I love to start my engagement sessions on the other side of Cape Kiwanda, McPhillips Beach. It’s drive on and generally pretty quiet, at least in comparison.
As I said earlier, the Oregon coast is a never ending gorgeous landscape but here are my top 5 Oregon coast engagement session locations:
If you want to see another Oregon Coast engagement blog post you can check out this Cannon Beach one or this Cape Kiwanda one!
