Lets dive right into this WILD engagement shoot in the Yacolt Burn Forest just outside Vancouver, WA from a few weeks ago. I say wild because this love I got to see between Hailey and Selene was pure, firey, and passionate. Plus we were surrounded by true wilderness: abandoned forest roads (my absolute favorite), exploding wildflowers, and rolling mountains. This engagement session has my heart.
These two met a few years ago, they were both dating other people, and bonded hard from the get go. As time went on they realized they were meant to be more than friends, eventually got engaged, and here we are! My husband and I started the same way and there’s something to be said about building a friendship before a relationship. I’m a little biased but I think its extra special.
Hailey and Selene were naturals in front of the camera. Just scroll down and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. They knew the angles, how to show their love, and just have fun! The three of us had SO much fun and they were serious troopers. I had a vision for this shoot that included bushwhacking through wildflower fields and driving up rough dirt roads and they were so up for it all. Adventuring is in my soul and I saw it in theirs too.
Be sure to look all the way through these – when you get to the end you’ll spot the crazy cloud lines where the sunset barely peaked through!
