Right away, you may be looking at the title of this post thinking, whats a microwedding? Its essentially exactly what it sounds like! Generally speaking its a wedding of 50 guests or less and this particular wedding at Hazelfern Cellars in Newberg, Oregon was 18 guests including the newlyweds! It was the perfect space for a microwedding with an indoor space that resembled a remodeled horse stall barn and of course a lush vineyard.
Lets face it… 2020 is a weird year. Covid-19, political division, fights for justice and equality, and wildfires (remember that?) among the main players. We have had to deal with all this on top of normal stressful life! Life is hard, and 2020 I know personally has tested me in many ways. In the end I hope we all come out of this a little more present, patient, and gracious. I for one cannot wait to hug my couples and show them my smiling face (I swear its under the mask).
Eryn and Mike, among many couples this year, were supposed to have a big wedding with all their friends and family and had to make the decision to 1) postpone to 2021 or 2) get married anyway with a select small group. They chose the latter and it was beautiful. Compromising on your wedding day can be a difficult choice but it doesn’t mean you have to loose. It can still be a PERFECT day.
Because the choice was last minute their original photographer wasn’t available and referred me! I’m always so honored to be referred by fellow creatives in the industry. I was secured for this wedding about a week prior (a surprise wedding LOVE!). This was also my first wedding at a vineyard!! I’m totally in love and can’t wait for my handful of winery weddings in 2021! Congrats to Eryn and Mike! I’m so incredibly grateful to have been a small piece in their epic love story.
