Suncadia Resort Wedding | Heidi + Liam

What a PERFECT wedding day at Suncadia Resort in Washington. Suncadia is a large resort filled with golf courses, homes, condos, hotels, and wedding spaces! It’s located just outside Cle Elum and nestled in the mountains and in the evergreens. It reminds me a lot of Sunriver in Oregon or Lake Tahoe in California if you’ve been to either of those places. The ceremony for this wedding day was located right above a small pond and the golf course, their first look was at “The Lookout” and the reception was right across the street from the ceremony site at the boathouse and under the string lights. It was so lucky that it was a beautiful and warm October evening. We even got a little glimpse of some fall colors coming through which made it even more special. If you are considering having your wedding at Suncadia luckily the towns of Cle Elum and Roslyn have plenty of hotels, Airbnbs, etc. for guests to stay (as well as the resort itself). There’s a really cute hotel called Hotel Roslyn that I considered staying at!

Washington state is so beautiful in the summer and fall and the area around Suncadia has so much opportunity for adventure. The drive alone along I-90 is really jaw-dropping. Between Seattle and Cle Elum there is Snoqualmie Pass which has some famous hike (like Kendall Katwalk and Snow/Gem Lakes), Cle Elum Lake is really beautiful, and just north of the area are the Enchantments and the Bavarian town of Leavenworth! This whole area of the Pacific Northwest is really worth exploring.

Heidi and I actually went to college together and she was even a bridesmaid in my wedding! It’s so crazy to think that in the last 5 years I’ve created and built this business to the point that I am photographing her wedding. Heidi and Liam met at our school, Willamette University, and have been inseparable ever since. They moved to Colorado together for Liam’s PT school and then back to Seattle where they live now. Their sweet pup, Griffin, was an integral part of their day and was so cute sitting up at the front of the ceremony and wandering around the dance floor at the reception. Dogs are weddings are a big YES from me!
