Abbey Road Farm Wedding | Jacquelyn + Chris

This gorgeous September wedding day at Abbey Road Farm in Carlton, Oregon was full of love, llamas, and laughs. Have you heard of the wedding llamas?! They are iconic in the PNW and the video of Jacquelyn and Chris went pretty viral garnishing millions of views on Instagram and Tiktok! A little claim to fame for this special day. Rewind the tapes way back to 2008 and Jacquelyn (known as JB to me) and I were on the same crew (rowing) team together for a couple of years where we grew up in California. We lost touch for awhile but continued following each other on social media until we both ended up settling in Portland, OR. We’ve connected over the last few years again, taken our hubby’s on double dates, and they were actually the first ever couple I asked to model for me as I was just starting my business. Because of all the backstory, this day was so special and full circle in many ways.

These two never stop laughing together, and their laughs are big and contagious to spread joy to everyone around them. Their wedding day was no exception. Through their private vows, their ceremony, and in their reception the joy was palpable (you’ll see lots of laughing photos as you scroll through). The day itself was incredibly warm, especially for a September afternoon, and the blue skies and green hills made the perfect backdrop. Abbey Road Farm is a really cool spot as it has a great flat outdoor turf lawn right outside of a large new “barn” reception space so guests don’t have to walk far. If they want to explore though there’s lawn games, barn animals (goats, dogs, chickens, etc.), a vineyard, and garden all around. There’s also multiple cabins on site so the wedding party was able to stay with the bride and groom the night before. This was my first time shooting a wedding at Abbey Road Farm and I look forward to being back!
