Mt Tamalpais Engagement | Charlotte & James

This was a really special engagement session atop of Mt Tamalpais in Marin County, CA because it’s where I grew up! I grew up in a small town called Tiburon, California which is in the North Bay just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. In high school my favorite thing to do with my friends and my boyfriend (now husband) was to go up to the Fairfax-Bolinas Ridge on the top of Mt Tam and watch the sunset. We would bring snacks, drinks, or just sit together on a picnic blanket and chat. It’s still one of my favorite places in the world. This ridge looks down on Stinson Beach and Bolinas which are beautiful stretches of beach I used to frequent when I lived in CA! In the summer the hills turn into a golden glow and that with the sun shining had me so so happy.

Charlotte and James and I went to high school together in Mill Valley, them being a couple years below me, and we all got to reconnect for this shoot! I posted on Instagram that I was going to be home for a week over the summer and Charlotte reached out! It was such a fun time getting to know them better and see their relationship together. We capped the night off with burritos from Joe’s Taco Lounge and stayed until the sun was gone and the moon came out. They are getting married in France (gasp!!) and I cannot wait to see where the future takes them next!
