WOW I have so many amazing weddings and engagements I need to get blogging! This early fall wedding on the Oregon coast was everything and more. It took place at the McMenamins in Gearhart, Oregon which is a stunningly beautiful hotel that sits on a golf course just a block from the ocean. The ceremony, as you’ll see below, was on the beach itself. The reception that followed was back at the hotel – guests could easily walk the short distance to and from the ceremony!
The bride, Amanda, and her bridesmaids got ready at the modern, SaltLine Hotel in Seaside, which I just fell in love with. We can’t forget their adorable little pup, Tank, who also was roaming around and getting ready with the gals. From there we all made our way to Gearhart where we spent the rest of the day! Amanda wore a stunning gown from Charlotte’s Weddings (cute shop located east of Portland) with an off the shoulder look complete with an incredible train and lace detail. Scott, went classic with a black tux and bowtie! I feel like I am a red carpet journalist right now writing this. Also, can’t forget to credit their florals which were done by Victoria Wilson Designs.
Amanda and Scott, pre-covid, had planned a wedding on Orcas Island for this fall but as things got more complicated in this pandemic period it became clear that asked family and friends to travel wasn’t going to happen. They very successfully pivoted and although it wasn’t Plan A it was quite a beautiful Plan B. They had 50 of their closest family and friends present to help them celebrate and had quite the backdrop to do it on.
