Where do I even begin with this gorgeous fall wedding at Coopers Hall Taproom in East Portland?! This was a very special one for me because Lincoln and Monique are good friends of mine. I met Monique in college at Willamette University and we were in the same sorority. We were in different friends groups so we didn’t spend a lot of time together there but we reconnected when we realized we both lived in Portland years later! Monique is so genuine, caring, and hard-working and I’m really lucky to be able to call her my friend. Lincoln and Monique compliment each other beautifully and it’s so clear when you are around them that they have that *real real* love for each other. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for them both!
Coopers Hall is one of my favorite wedding venues in Portland because its intimate and beautiful on its own. It’s filled with wine barrels, indoor plants galore, and lots of string lights. You can have your ceremony in one of two spots, either with the wine barrels as the backdrop or in the corner by the windows (see below!). Then all the tables are brought out for dinner time during the cocktail hour. There’s a balcony above for more table seating or it can be transformed into a lounge seating area (furniture must be rented). I’m generally not a huge fan of indoor venues but this one has immaculate natural light of which I’m a big fan!
As far as the area available to you for wedding portraits, there are the more obvious spots in Coopers Hall itself as well as some opportunities for photos right outside. There is a building across the street that is yellow and has a big “Fear Less, Love More” sign that’s super cute. We also got lucky and caught some late September golden hour sunshine out in the road (don’t worry traffic was very minimal). The building of Coopers Hall is black and has an opportunity for some photos right outside as well.
Everything on their wedding day came together so well and was incredibly joyful. The florals brought the perfect pop of color into the already stunning space to tie it all together. As always, a beautiful wedding has an amazing team behind it. Jane, from Coopers Hall, was the Day of Coordinator and was so on top of everything and incredible to work with.
