Would you elope in Sedona?! It’s a popular tourist location for adventurers and for good reason! There are views everywhere you look, colors and faces of immense rock you could only imagine, and to be honest: you really have to see it in person to see how epic it truly is. It’s crowded but especially if you elope on a weekday (this shoot was a Thursday!) and/or are willing to hike you will find solace and beauty. We hiked Cathedral Rock for this adventure with Ashlynn and Hadley. Let me tell you it’s not for the faint of heart! The hike is short and steep, we were using both hands to crawl up certain parts of the rock faces, and watching this couple climb up in their wedding attire was badass.
Cathedral Rock is one of the most popular hikes and locations in Sedona. You don’t need a permit to elope there and it was easily the most beautiful place that I explored while there. It’s breathtaking in photos and in person. You also have the choice to only go half way up (much easier) and still get some really stunning views. Here are some other AMAZING hikes that I did while in Sedona for a few days:
There were MANY many spots that I could envision a stunning ceremony, portraits, and adventure for eloping couples. If this has inspired you to consider eloping in the desert, reach out and let’s chat! Sedona is one of many incredible options – only 2 hours from Phoenix, a few hours from the Grand Canyon, and a perfect spring destination. The town of Sedona is also filled with lots of restaurants, opportunities to shop, and has everything you need close by. Are you dreaming yet?!
