I am WAY late on getting this blog posted but it’s also way too special of a wedding to not get a feature on the blog. This wedding day at Camp Westwind on the Oregon Coast was so overflowing with love, both between Carissa and Morgan, but also from all their amazing family and friends. The energy was impossible to ignore. The entire beach and coastline visible to the eye was private for the wedding with stunning rocky shores, seagrass, and endless space to frolick and play. This is not typically a wedding venue and I feel so fortunate to have been a part of it all!
Morgan and Carissa and all their guests stayed at Camp Westwind for the long weekend full of a talent show, many delicious meals, camp bunk cabins, singing, dancing, and so much love. It was an elevated summer camp experience and I could not imagine anything more perfect to celebrate their story and their marriage. The ceremony was set beneath classic Oregon Coast overcast skies surrounded by warm sand and flowing seagrass (honestly one of my favorite ceremony backdrops EVER). The party then moved up to the base of the camp lodge, still on the sand, with many long banquet style tables, string lights, and happy vibes. Some highlights of the night included a sock poppet “show”, tear-inducing toasts, an emotional double father-daughter dance, handmade chaco-tacos, and a sparkler exit. There’s so much more I could highlight but I’ll leave it up to the photos from here.
Flashback a couple of years and I shot my first proposal with Morgan proposing to Carissa on Mt Hood. I knew they were keepers right away. These two are incredibly genuine and kind – love watching them achieve and support one another through life.
