Blockhouse Pomarius Nursery Wedding | Emily + Kevin

Right in the heart of NW Portland lies a cute nursery (Pomarius Nursery) with an attached wedding venue (Blockhouse NW) and the sweetest little greenhouse space. It’s a venue I had been dying to work at for years and am so grateful to say I’ve gotten the opportunity to work at a handful of times now (with more weddings here in store for 2024).

This sweet couple, Emily and Kevin, are from the Bay Area CA and wanted to host their wedding celebration in Portland, OR with just their closest circle of people. They had roughly 60 guests in the space and it was such a great size for this more intimate venue location. The Orangerie greenhouse space is used for the ceremony, Blockhouse for cocktail hour while the space is flipped, and greenhouse again for the reception (generally long tables). It was a classic drizzly PNW fall day but mild temps and clear umbrellas came in clutch. I loved all of their little details from the custom crossword puzzle, the napkins with their dogs face on them, Emily’s amazing bridal gown (THE TRAIN), the food from Reedville catering, and the beautiful florals (especially that hanging install!). Always so grateful for my couples who trust in me and their talented vendor team.
